How do I know if Google can see my store?
The Google visibility card on My Store → Domain shows whether your sitemap is registered, how many pages are indexed, and your clicks and impressions.
TL;DR: Open My Store → Domain. The Google visibility card at the top shows, for each of your store addresses, whether the sitemap is registered with Google, how many pages Google has indexed, and your clicks and impressions over the last 28 days, plus your top searches. A new store usually shows nothing for the first 2–4 weeks — that's normal.
What does the card show?
| Tile | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Sitemap | ✓ Submitted — BTAB has registered your store's sitemap with Google |
| Pages indexed | How many of your submitted pages Google has actually added to its index |
| Clicks · 28 days | People who clicked through to your store from a Google result |
| Impressions · 28 days | Times your store appeared in someone's results |
Below the tiles, Top searches (28 days) lists the queries people found you with, with clicks, impressions and your average position.
A dash (—) means Google hasn't reported that number yet, not that it's zero.
Why does it say Google hasn't discovered my store yet?
Because it hasn't, and that is expected at first. Google typically takes 2–4 weeks to start crawling a new site. If your store is unpublished, the card also tells you so — Google can't see a store that isn't published.
My sitemap is submitted but nothing is indexed — is something wrong?
Not in the first weeks. BTAB registers every published store's sitemap with Google; Google then decides when to crawl. If the amber line ("registered but Google hasn't indexed any pages yet") persists beyond a month, the fastest nudge is asking Google directly: verify your custom domain in your own Search Console and use URL inspection → Request indexing on your home page (see How do I verify my store in Google Search Console?).
Where do these numbers come from?
From Google Search Console, collected by BTAB once a day for every published store and shown here for your store's addresses (yourstore.btab.app and your custom domain). The date in the card header is the day the numbers describe.
Do this
- Make sure your store is Published.
- Write a real page title and description under My Store → SEO — that is the text Google shows in results (see How do I control how my store appears in Google results?).
- Check the card again in a couple of weeks. Growth in impressions comes before growth in clicks.
