How do I update my stock?

Confirm how many of each SKU you actually have on the Stock page, one by one or by pasting a stock list.

This guide is for suppliers. Not you? Store owner guides

TL;DR: Open Stock, type the new count beside each SKU and click Confirm counts. For a whole catalogue, paste a two-column list (SKU and quantity) and click Apply stock list.

Why it matters

If a product sells and you have run out, it shows on your Returns and performance page as Ran out after sale. Confirming your real counts often keeps that number low.

Update counts one by one

  1. Open Stock in the menu.
  2. Find the product. On hand is the count BTAB has now, and Last confirmed says when you last confirmed it.
  3. Type the real number under New count.
  4. Click Confirm counts.

The groups at the top help you find what needs attention: Never confirmed, Not confirmed in 30 days and Confirmed this week. Click one to see only those SKUs.

Update many at once

  1. On Stock, click Paste a stock list.
  2. Paste two columns, SKU and quantity, one SKU per line. A header row is fine. Exporting this from your own system is the fastest way.
  3. Click Apply stock list.

BTAB tells you how many SKUs were updated, and lists any SKU that did not match your catalogue.

A product shows "Needs a SKU"

Stock is counted per SKU. A product without a SKU cannot be tracked. Add a SKU to the product (open it in Products and click Edit), and it appears on the Stock page.
