What's new this week: 19 to 25 October
btab's checkout now runs inside a WooCommerce site, and your store can offer pick-up at your own place. Four areas changed this week: your storefront and checkout, products, orders, and your dashboard.
By The BTAB Team

btab's checkout now runs inside a WooCommerce site: your buyers stay on your own pages and pay through btab. The week also brings pick-up at your own place, pre-orders, a Collections page, stock you type in place, and an Analytics page that shows who is on your store right now.
Your storefront and checkout
btab for WooCommerce. If your store runs on WooCommerce, you can install the btab plugin and sell btab's catalogue on it. Download it from Settings → Developers; WordPress tells you when a new version is out. Connecting your shop takes one button: type your shop's address and btab fills in the rest.
Buyers can collect from your place. Turn pick-up on in Settings → Shipping → Pick-up, name the place, give the address, and say what the buyer should expect. Checkout then offers "Deliver to my address" or pick-up from your place, and your order list and new-order email say the buyer is collecting. Pick-up is for your own goods.
Sell before stock lands. In Settings → Operations, the card "When a product sells out" lets you keep selling, and you can set it per product or per option. The order, the purchase order, the buyer's confirmation and the buyer's order page all say pre-order, your orders list shows how many units you owe, and Ready to dispatch tells you when an order is still waiting on stock.
Your store's email leaves from your own domain. Once your domain is verified, order confirmations, order status, tax invoices, returns, quotes and review requests go out from your address. Read: How do I send store emails from my own domain?
Products and imports
Collections have their own page. Products → Collections lists every collection, how it picks products in plain words, and whether it is live. Pick products by hand, or by product type, tag, brand or name, set a sort order, and see a live preview before you save. A history shows who changed what.
Archive instead of delete. My products has an Archived shelf. Archiving takes a product off every store and keeps its records; the shelf shows when it was archived and by whom, and one press restores it to the stores it was in. Read: How do I archive a product instead of deleting it?
Stock, typed in place. Products → Inventory lists every product with its options, their codes and their counts. Type a count and save it on the spot, search by name or code, filter for what is out of stock, and open an option's history. Rows you cannot type in say why.
Orders, purchase orders and delivery
Order cards lead with the items. An order shows its items near the top, each with a photo, the option, a readable code and the quantity. Purchase orders print the photo on each line, so your team can check the picture against the name.
Abandoned checkouts show the shopper. The name, email and phone a shopper typed into your checkout are now on the row, with links to email or call them. Checkouts nobody finished are no longer counted as orders in your figures.
Your dashboard
Analytics is one proper page. Overview holds your range figures and where your visitors and orders are. Live view lists each visitor anonymously — place, device, source, current page, and a Cart, Checkout or Ordered badge — and opens their page trail. Sessions groups visits by place, source or device. Funnel follows visits through product views, cart, checkout and orders.
